I rode a little over 4400 miles with the stock 790Adv R windscreen. It is a very nice 'dirt' or ' short travel distance' windscreen. It allows a great unimpeded view of the trail and doesn't seem to have any negative affects via wind steer. IF I was keeping the bike "dirt" oriented, I'd keep it and ride.

Slow, technical trails arenāt where the 390 ADV shines, to be honest. Yes, it has the balance, but its engineās character makes such proceedings a bit challenging. Show it a faster, hard-packed trail though, and the motorcycle comes into its own. Its well-damped suspension flattens all but the deepest of potholes.
The GS is great, but I'm not comfortable working on it. BMW doesn't publish a service manual. Fortunately, I have a long-term maintenance agreement and a long-term warranty. No issues so far, though. I have the itch for a 790/890. KTM seems to build a special bike, and I can live with some risk of issues, especially if I can fix them myself. I
